This is the same lighting setup I used for my pouring shots, but I wanted to have some fun with different types of objects. These apples are all crossprocessed. These are some random glass objects from around my house. And finally some miscellaneous objects.
These are all the pour shots that I ended up editing, but not choosing for the "Let's Pour a Drink" assignment. I think if I shot it again, I would want to reduce the noise somehow. A lot of these are noisy because the lighting in my house is terrible at night, but I hoped that putting them in black and white would reduce the noise a bit. My older sibling just got back from their uni in Australia, so we have them home for the next couple months, which is great. I can take so many pictures!
I took these in the early morning because I was panicking over not having texture shots for a school assignment. I didn't use these ones for the assignment, but I liked the look of them enough to edit them. My two lovely cats are great subjects when I can get them to stay still for long enough. Seamus, the bigger one of the two, was actually scared of the camera, I think it was the noise. The first two are Seamus, and the second two are Cosmo. Weirdly, I tend to like the infrared filter for pictures of Cosmo, but the higher clarity ones for Seamus. I'm gearing up to photoshop my scary portrait really soon, but since I don't know photoshop really well yet, I'm practicing on some of the creepy ones I took on Rachel. I really like the lighting on this one, the green really adds something to it.
A lot of these turned out way scarier than I intended them to, and they have this weird, cool vibe that I want to showcase. I think I kept Rachel way longer than she actually wanted to do this, but I'm happy with the results. I have to confess, I'm a sucker for fall. Definitely my favorite season of the year because of all of the oranges, reds, barren trees, and grey skies. My little sister has this epic rainbow umbrella, and the colors were just so vivid! I'm having a lot of fun just messing around with the presets in Lightroom, so you might see a lot more of this kind of post. I'm not sure which one is my favorite, but I particularly like the Old Polar one. I'm really trying to figure out how I can use Lightroom to the best advantage, so I'll probably post a lot of these experiments. For this one, I think my favorite is the infrared one. Colton may be a small town of 300 in the middle of nowhere, but sometimes it can turn out really nice pictures. So many oranges and yellows! Definitely my favorite time of the year. |
